Our Parent Enrichment Courses at Just Say Something are nationally accredited and DSS approved.  Our courses work to help add vital tools to every parent's toolbox to ensure that their family can reach their full potential.  All course details are listed below. parenting Wisely

This course is designed for parents of children from birth to 8 years old.  This is a 5-week class, held every Tuesday night from  6:00-8:00 pm at our office.  The class is a one-time charge of $50 for one parent or $80 for a couple.  This class will help new parents enhance their skills and gain confidence as a parent by covering an array of topics including: 

  • What is Parenting

  • Nutrition & Health

  • Child Safety

  • Positive Discipline

  • Parenting Styles

  • Controlling Anger

  • Communication Skills

  • Family Management

  • Alcohol, Tobacco & Drug Information

 
 

Back In Control

This course is designed for parents of adolescents and teens to help them regain control of their children.  This is a 6-week class held every Monday night from  6:00-8:00 pm at our office.  The class is a one-time charge of $70 for one parent or $90 for a couple. This class covers topics including: 

  • Why rules are important

  • The four elements of a good rule

  • Effective follow through

  • Responsibility and trust

  • The four W’s of parental supervision

  • Consistency, consequence

 
 

Transparenting (Co-Parenting)

TransParenting is a unique one day seminar-style class taught on Saturdays once a month from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm  The cost of the class is $50 for one parent or $75 for a couple.  The purpose of this class is to teach effective parenting strategies to couples going through significant life changes, such as:

  • Divorce

  • Geographical changes

  • The birth of a sibling

  • Death of an immediate family member
